Bara Al-Obaidy, Counsellor

Bara (he/him) works with individuals and couples struggling with finding a balanced life. He believes in psychotherapy being a collaborative process built on mutual respect and goal setting. His areas of interest include stress management, depression, anxiety, stress and burnout, interpersonal difficulties, life and career transitions, cultural issues, personal identity, and self-confidence.

Bara uses an integrative approach based on the client and their goals. His approach combines humanistic and existential theories, Gestalt-based experiential exercises, positive psychology, and mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy. During his professional career, Bara has also founded and chaired youth-oriented programs and provided career-coaching for new professionals.
