Are you looking to understand yourself more deeply and create meaningful change in your life? I’m Jaswir Dhillon, a Registered Psychotherapist supporting individuals and couples in Ottawa and across Ontario to heal from trauma, strengthen relationships, and cultivate lasting well-being.

To support this work, I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches that help you explore your experiences and foster meaningful change:

  • Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

  • Somatic Therapy: Somatic Experiencing & Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
  • Experiential Therapies
  • Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT)
  • The Gottman Method

About Me

Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 14 years as a consulting environmental engineer. This career shift grew from a deep calling to help others navigate life’s complexities with awareness, resilience, and self-compassion.

My engineering background gives me a unique understanding of the pressures faced by high-performing professionals, including stress, burnout, perfectionism, and the search for meaning and balance.

Alongside psychotherapy, I’m also a certified yoga and meditation teacher. These mind-body practices are woven into my work, helping clients access deeper self-awareness and healing.

As a South Asian (Punjabi) woman, immigrant, and mother, I know firsthand how identity, culture, and lived experience shape your journey. In my practice, every part of you is welcomed and celebrated, especially the parts that haven’t always been accepted or understood.

Therapy Rooted In Connection

I believe in the healing power of authentic human connection. I show up as a real person in the therapy room, creating a safe space for you to do the same. Nothing is too messy or too much. Together, we explore your experiences with compassion and curiosity, moving toward self-acceptance and inner strength.
