Lana Litvinov, Registered Psychotherapist, Qualifying

It is important to recognize that reaching out may not be easy, but it is one of the most pivotal first steps you will take in your journey to wellness. I appreciate the courage of individuals and couples who seek support with emotional and personal challenges as they wish to improve their lives through better coping skills, clarity, self-awareness, and emotional resilience. My focus is to provide a safe space for self-exploration, emotional relief, and recuperation. I address each client’s unique therapeutic needs and goals based on their distinctive life experiences and cultural backgrounds.

My collaborative and integrative treatment method combines humanistic approaches with evidence-based practice such as: trauma-informed care, narrative therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapies (CBT), Gottman Method Couple’s therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT). Each approach is tailored to the client’s unique challenges such as stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, life and career changes, interpersonal and work-place conflicts, personal growth, spiritual-existential impasse, newcomer experiences, cultural assimilation, and work-place cross-cultural communication challenges.

I am currently completing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I am also a member of Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and Ontario Society of Registered Psychotherapists (OCRP). My academic background includes a BA and MA in social sciences from University of British Columbia and Carleton University.  My professional career spans over two decades within both private and government sectors. I am currently practicing under supervision of Alice Lurie, Registered Psychotherapist.
