Jaswir Dhillon, Registered Psychotherapist

Jaswir supports clients in deepening self-understanding, shifting unhelpful patterns, cultivating resilience, and creating meaningful change. She works with a range of mental health concerns, focusing on childhood and intergenerational trauma, relationship challenges, personality and self-esteem issues, ADHD, anxiety, and depression.

Her therapeutic space is compassionate, non-judgmental, and grounded in deep respect for each person’s lived experience. Jaswir welcomes clients of all cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations, and identities, with particular sensitivity to those navigating intergenerational, relational, or cultural challenges. She is committed to holding space that feels thoughtful, attuned, and safe for deep inner work.

Her holistic, integrative approach draws from psychodynamic psychotherapy, somatic therapy, parts work, and other experiential therapies to meet each client’s unique needs. Jaswir supports individuals healing from trauma and the relationship challenges that arise from these wounds. Such experiences can affect one’s sense of safety, trust, and emotional balance, often presenting as anxiety, depression, overwhelm, or recurring patterns that disrupt connection.

In couples therapy, she helps partners work through communication breakdowns, persistent conflict, cultural and neurodiversity differences, attachment wounds, intimacy struggles, infidelity, and emotional disconnection. Her goal is to guide individuals and couples toward greater clarity, connection, and healing, in a way that honours their pace and readiness.

Jaswir brings a unique perspective to therapy, having transitioned from a career in engineering to pursue her passion for helping clients experience emotional and psychological well-being. Her background offers insight into the pressures faced by high-performing professionals, such as burnout, perfectionism, and the search for meaning and balance. She is also a certified yoga and meditation teacher, and integrates these practices into therapy to help clients nurture the mind-body-spirit connection and foster deeper self-awareness and healing.

She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from McGill University and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Jaswir is a member in good standing of the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and provides therapy to individuals and couples in Ottawa and across Ontario and other provinces.
